The Trossachs Community is blessed to live in a beautiful area and being in a national park this is a popular place to visit – this page just gives you a few indications of where you can park your car and where you can enjoy refreshment when you visit
Where you can Park
(please do not park on the roadside or block passing places, you risk not allowing emergency vehicles through, risk damage to your vehicle and increasingly will receive a parking ticket/fine)
North Venachar Lochside
(two car parks)
Ideal for wild swimming, boating or just the vista.
Woodland Trust (Glen Finglas)
(Gateway large car park and Little Drum Wood)
From these car parks you can follow way parked paths into the hills, into Glen Finglas, around the woods and into the village of Brig o’ Turk.
(large pierhead car park [£])
Here you can walk along the side of Loch Katrine or take a boat trip as well as accessing Ben A’an and Ben Venue hill walks.
Dam road – very small car park
A small car park at the end of Glen Finglas Road a narrow single track road with passing places. Only drive here if you are happy to reverse! The car park location is passed by the circular walks in Glen Finglas accessed from the main Woodland Trust carparks.
Ben A’an – medium sized carpark [£]
This carpark is at the bottom of the Ben A’an walk and gets very busy very early and stays busy all day – alternatives are the Ben Venue carpark and the Loch Katrine carpark. Hint – If they are full, (and they may well be) drive half way up the Dukes pass where there are other carparks that are never full and you can still have a lovely walk!)
Ben Venue – large car park[£]
The starting point for the walk up Ben Venue (note the comments under ben A’an car park re alternatives)
